I’m excited to have you here in this space dedicated to the honest, unfiltered experiences of motherhood. As a mom of three, I’ve seen firsthand the joys, challenges, drama and everything in between that comes with raising children – first in my home country, and since summer 2023 as an expat. Through it all, I’ve come to appreciate the power of shared stories and the strength we can draw from each other’s experiences.

The Heart of the Blog: Mom Interviews

The core elements of Momlife Uncut is the questionnaire interview series with real moms from all walks of life, from all ages, and from various countries. These interviews are designed to provide a candid look into the diverse experiences of motherhood. Here’s what you can expect from our questionnaire interview series:

Real Stories, Real Voices

Each interview is a mom who opens up about her unique journey. We ask a series of questions that delve into the everyday realities of being a parent, the struggles, the triumphs, and the lessons learned along the way.

Thoughtful Questions

The interviews are structured around questions that encourage moms to share their true selves. Some of the questions you’ll find in the interviews include:

• Can you tell us a bit about your journey to motherhood?
• What does a typical day look like for you and your family?
• What have been some of the most joyful or surprising moments of motherhood for you?
• Can you share some challenges you’ve faced as a mom and how you’ve overcome them?

These questions are designed to elicit deep, meaningful responses that go beyond the surface and offer a genuine glimpse into each mom’s life.

To give as many moms as possible a chance to be represented with their stories, the questionnaire will be available in as many languages as I can manage to have translated and “verified”. At the moment it’s limited to English and Spanish, though.

Celebrating Diversity

Every mom’s story is unique, and that’s something we celebrate here at Momlife Uncut. Whether it’s the story of an expat mom navigating a new culture, a stay-at-home mom finding her rhythm, or a working mom balancing career and family, each narrative adds a valuable perspective to our collective understanding of motherhood.
